HUDSON TURKEY CLASSIC
SUPERIOR spartans 51, HUDSON raiders 40

Superior spoiled the coaching debut of new Hudson coach Beth Graskewicz with a comeback win. The Spartans, once they took the lead at the end of the third quarter, didn't give it back. Superior nailed 14 free throws in the fourth quarter. The key moment in the fourth quarter came after Kait Haag cut the Superior lead to 39-36 after an old fashioned three point play. On the return trip, Superior's Shannon Lehikoinen was fouled and made both tosses. On the insuing pass in, point guard Britnee Blake stole the ball and converted the lay up. Blake did the same exact action on the next throw in, but was fouled instead. This was in the heart of a seven possession scoring string by Superior.

The problem with Hudson was they often times would take a three after one pass. There was no pacing or testing out the defense. Also Amy Frye and Kait Haag were formidable inside, and the most successful. However most of the game they were not in together. Haag doesn't even start.
