HOPKINS royals 73,

CRETIN-DERHAM HALL raiders 60

Hopkins roared to a 40-19 halftime lead against a Cretin-Derham Hall team that will be north of 17 wins this season. Hopkins did it by execution, quickness, and fresh set of legs. Hopkins led from start to finish. CDH did get to 7-6, but that was the closest it was to be. Hopkins had 6/7 string to push the lead out to 23-11. Three possessions later they had a 7 straight and 9/10 possession string and 17-6 run to close the half.

The biggest margin Hopkins enjoyed came after the first two possessions in the second half with a 45-19 advantage. At that point Cretin-Derham Hall climbed out of a 26 point hole and had their own strings. They had an 8 straight string in the middle of the half for a 14-10 advantage. CDH finished with a 7-0 run against the deep Hopkins bench.
