COLLEGE REPORTS
Thanksgiving didn't stand in the way of basketball being played yesterday. Most of these games were in tropical climates.
The Big 10 was 2-2 on Thanksgiving.

Wake Forest beat Indiana 55-53 in the Paradise Jam in the Virgin Islands. Jamie Braun (Marshfield, WI) had 17 for the Hoosiers.

Iowa beat Mississippi State 60-54 in Cancun, Mexico in the Caribbean Challenge. Wendy Ausdemore (TriCenter, IA) had 17, Krista VandeVenter (Osseo) had 10 Kachine Alexander (Benilde-St. Margaret's) had 2 for the Hawkeyes.

Michigan State edged Kansas State 68-65 in Cancun. Alyssa DeHaan had 23 for the Spartans.

#8 Duke beat #20 Purdue 53-41. Lakisha Freeman (Saginaw Arthur Hill) had 5 points for Purdue.

Tulane beat Northern Illinois 70-57 in Cancun. Jessie Wilcox (Oshkosh West) had 6 for NIU.

Texas A&M beat Wichita State 70-36 in the Paradise Jam. Daria Frazier (Mpls North) had 8 for Wichita State.

Texas Tech beat Idaho State 86-72. Ally Sisel (Luxemburg-Casco, WI) did not score for ISU.

TODAY
The Gophers are in Hawaii and will face Kentucky in the Rainbow Wahine Classic. Lone senior Leslie Knight (Hopkins) has a feature in the StarTribune.

The Badgers spent Thanksgiving in Los Angeles awaiting the Pepperdine tournament. Danielle Ward (Milw King) has a feature in the Wisconsin State Journal. The Badgers are looking for more consistent production.

A win at George Washington might propel South Dakota State in the top 25 discussions. From the Sioux Falls Argus Leader.
