SIGNING DAY
The StarTribune has a look at the four instate recruits headed to the Gophers: Briana and Nicole Mastey of Becker, Kiara Buford of St. Paul Central and Jackie Voigt of Park Cottage Grove. The Gopher online site has more details too.

Kamille Wahlin of Crookston and Hannah Draxten of Fergus Falls inked with the Iowa Hawkeyes yesterday. The Cedar Rapids Gazette has their paths to Iowa City covered.

Crookston had four sign with college programs yesterday. Macy Hanson, Molly Simmons, Sydney Epema and Kamille Wahlin all signed. Hanson is staying close to home at UM Crookston. Simmons is off to Mary. Epema is bound for Bemidji State, and we already know where Wahlin is headed. From the Crookston Times.

Hopkins had three 2008 basketball players sign letters today to D1 basketball programs. Stephanie Sension is headed to the US Air Force Academy, Caitlin Rowland to Harvard University, and Hanna Muegge to Bradley University.
Next season Hopkins will have 8 players at the D1 level.

The last time 3 players from one class in one high school signed with D1 programs in Minnesota was the 2006 class at Breck when Megan Givens went to Denver and Emily Neal and Kelly Mullaney went to Colorado State.
