Marquette Turns Over Wisconsin

Marquette stunned #25 Wisconsin 67-53. 29 turnovers doomed the Badgers. Defensively they couldn't stop Krystal Ellis (Racine St. Catherine) who led Marquette with 31. Jolene Anderson led Wisconsin with 21. In the battle of Minnesota guards Angel Robinson had 4 points for Marquette and Alyssa Karel had 4 for Wisconsin. UW Green Bay beat Missouri State on the road 78-68. The Phoenix had a surge at the end of the first half to help in the victory. Rachel Porath (Luxemburg-Casco, WI) had 20 points for UWGB. Maggie Dwyer (Grand Haven, MI) had 9 for Missouri State.

Central Michigan rallied to beat Chicago State in a narrow 69-68 win. CMU trailed by 12 early on in the contest. From the Mount Pleasant Morning Sun. Latisha Luckett (Detroit Country Day) had 21 for CMU while Jasmin Dixon (Detroit King) had 21 for CSU.

Eastern Michigan had no problems with Wright State 74-41. Kanisha Ward (Detroit Renaissance) had 9 for Wright State. Amanda Compton (Ann Arbor Huron) had six for EMU.

The Gophers face Louisville today. Emily Fox will get to renew her friendship and battle her US Pan Am teammate Angel McCoughtry. From the StarTribune.
