Nebraska Transfer Crackdown

TRANSFER NOT ALLOWED
The Nebraska School Activities Association will not permit girls basketball standout Marissa Kastanek, formerly of Crete, Nebraska to play with Lincoln Southeast. Crete is 40 minutes Soutwest of Lincoln. Kastanek is a 2009 player that has already verballed North Carolina State. Apparently a permanent move was not made. There will be more on this matter I am sure. From the Omaha World Herald.

at Tartan: Menomonie, WI; Fridley; White Bear Lake; Crosby-Ironton; Blaine; Eagan; Visitation; Cannon Falls.
Minnehaha will hold a scrimmage with Benilde-SM, Mound-Westonka and Pine Island from 8:30 am to 11:30 am.
Worthington will hold a scrimmage

MINNESOTA
Faith Tinklenberg of Pipestone has signed with Augustana. From the Pipestone Star

Jackie Voigt of Park-Cottage Grove joined three other PCG athletes in signing NLI with various sports programs. Voigt is headed to the Gophers. Teammate Sarah Nohrenberg is off to St. Cloud State for softball. From the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

WISCONSIN
Megan Van Tatenhove of Oostburg signed on the dotted line with St. Bonaventure. From the Sheboygan Press.

INDIANA
Erin Jankowski, a 5-5 guard from Mishawaka Marian signed with Army. Jankowski averaged 10.6 ppg for the 10-13 Knights.
Jankowski is the 24th player in the 2008 class in Indiana to commit.

GAME ACTION
Illinois started their high school season last night with Warren beating Galena 43-36 and Dakota stopping Stockton 49-47. Found in the middle of the Dubuque Telegraph Herald.

The Big Eight Girls and Boys Basketball Shootout Nov. 23 at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin.
