PREPRACTICE TOURNAMENT
Wishoops has a girls basketball tournament this weekend in Madison. Originally it was intended to host what was anticipated to be the top teams in each division for the coming year.
OSTARELLO THE ATHLETE
Sam Ostarello, Stanley County, SD has picked up volleyball for the first time this fall. Stanley County has won the district 12A championship with a pair of upset wins. SC's coach calls her "a momentum changer." Ostarello also was the state high jump champ in the spring. Ostarello verballed Purdue in the summer. From the Rapid City Journal.

MISSING TEACHER/COACH & STUDENT
Lexington, Nebraska teacher and assistant girls basketball coach Kelsey Peterson, 25 has been missing for a week and so is student Fernando Rodriguez 13. Letters/emails stating that "she loved him and that he was "the only person'' that she would ever love again." have been found. From the Lexington Clipper-Herald.
