Oakland beat Western Ontario 72-58.

Michigan State beat Lake Superior State 71-52 on Sunday. In the game Aisha Jefferson of Michigan State suffered an ACL injury and will miss the season.

Ebony Black (St. Paul Central) scored 15 points in her debut as #2 ranked Trinity Valley Community College (Texas) defeated Grayson County CC 86-56 in the season opener. Black along with sophomore Darika Hill led the Lady Cardinals in scoring.
