MINNEAPOLIS ROOSEVELT 73, MINNEAPOLIS NORTH 68
Roosevelt threw the city race into a tizzy with a 73-68 win over North. North now has two losses, and Roosevelt has three. South has one and they will need to beat Roosevelt if they want to face St. Paul Central in the Twin City Game.
Roosevelt led early 8-3 in the contest, North came back and grabbed the lead late in the half to go up 32-26 at the break.
At the start of the second half Roosevelt had a 17-0 start in the first 5:30. North had a comeback left. They took the lead with 6:45 to go. They were up 61-55 with 3:30 left when Roosevelt went on an 8-2 run to tie it at 63. Roosevelt made free throws down the stretch.
Kiara Strickland had 28 points and 10 rebounds for Roosevelt. Kim Grant added 12 points and 8 boards. Aundeah Aune had 2 big 3s.
For North Maurika Carlisle had 23 with Chelsey Jacox and Chaundera Riley contributing 13 points each.

CRETIN-DERHAM HALL 75, HOPKINS 69 OT
This was Hopkins' third overtime loss of the year. Hopkins led by four at halftime 32-28. Both teams shot well from the floor. CDH only missed 7 shots in the second half. CDH shot .518, and Hopkins .489. Hopkins again made more free throws than CDH attempted. CDH had 42 paint points to 30.
Alyssa Karel only had 4 pts in the first half but finished with 21, she also picked up 8 steals and 8 assists. Karel also led CDH with 7 boards. Sheila Otto had a strong game with 8 points on 4/5 shooting.
Hopkins' Jackie Heibert had a solid game with 26 points on 10/14 shooting and 9 rebounds.
