Michigan State beat Minnesota 57-50. Mpls North's Mia Johnson had 9 for MSU. Emily Fox had 15 to lead MN. The MN Daily blames poor shooting on the loss. The State News (Michigan State's paper) writes about the being pushed to the limits by the feisty Gophers.
If you liked offense Iowa City was the place to be with Iowa outpointing Wisconsin 103-93. Osseo's Krista VandeVenter had 11 for Iowa. TriCenter's Wendy Ausdemore and Thornton Horizon's Kristi Smith had 24 each to lead Iowa. South Shore's Jolene Anderson had 26, and Watertown's Mariah Dunham wasn't far behind with 25 for Wisconsin. The Daily Iowan writes about the heat in the gym. The Des Moines Register compared the shots to snowflakes piling up.
Penn State topped Indiana 78-68. Marshfield's Jamie Braun had 14 for Indiana.
Ohio State bopped Michigan 72-58. It is OSU's 3rd straight conference title. Carney-Nadeau's Carly Benson had 16 to lead Michigan.
Purdue stopped Illinois 58-48. Bloomington Kennedy's Jenna Smith led Illinois with 18.
The Big 10 tournament seeds are out. Ohio State is #1. MN is #6 and opens with Northwestern on Thursday March 1. If they get by NW the see Michigan State again. Wisconsin is #7, Iowa is #8, with Michigan #10.
MID AMERICAN
Western Michigan defeated Northern Illinois 67-56. Detroit Country Day's Carrie Moore had 32 for WMU. Holy Angels' Kristin Wiener had 19 to lead NIU.
MISSOURI VALLEY
Indiana State beat Bradley 86-50. Waconia's Jenny Van Kirk had 2, and Forest Lake's Renee Frericks did not score for Bradley.
Creighton edged Wichita State 71-68. Eastview's Michelle Kaus had 7, and Mpls North's Tyrai Bronson had 12 for Creighton. Mpls North's Daria Frazier had 6 for WSU.
Northern Iowa sliped by Illinois State 74-73 in overtime. Ottumwa's Tara King had 31 points including the game winner for UNI.
Drake dumped Missouri State 81-68. St. Croix Lutheran's Lauren Dybing had 3 for Drake.
The Des Moines Register looks at the recruiting of Northern Iowa, which is almost exclusively rostered by Iowans, and Drake.
MOUNTAIN WEST
New Mexico beat Texas Christian 75-54. Roseville's Amy Beggin had 4 for New Mexico.
Wyoming lassoed Colorado State 72-37. The two Breck players Emily Neal and Kelly Finley had 9 and 0 points for CSU.

Hawaii beat San Jose State 64-53. Redondo Union CA's Brittany Grice had 14 to lead Hawaii.

The North Central tournament begins on Wednesday and Augustana is the 2nd seed.

Gustavus, after losing to St. Benedict in the MIAC Final, received an at large bid in the D3 tournament. It is the 4th time Gustavus has been in the tournament. They open with George Fox on Friday, March 2.
St. Benedict with their automatic entry will play Wheaton. The game will take place at Stout.
UW Stout opens with Simpson in the other contest.
Luther starts off against Concordia WI and will host the first two rounds.

GREAT PLAINS
Northwestern IA upended Morningside 68-65. From the Sioux City Journal.
JUCO
Anoka-Ramsey won the MN State tournament on Sunday with a 51-42 win over Rochester. From the West Central Tribune.
Ridgewater fell twice after the upset on Friday. Rochester beat Ridgewater in the semis 53-49 and then MN West beat Ridgewater in the 3rd place game 63-54. Anoka-Ramsey beat MN West 61-31 in the semis. From the West Central Tribune and Worthington Daily Globe.
