Michigan State Knocks Off Ohio State

Michigan State upset Ohio State 62-59. Mpls North's Mia Johnson had 3 for MSU. Grandville, MI's 6-9 freshman Alyssa DeHaan had 25 to lead MSU. the State News looks at the MSU defense that got the road win.

Indiana beat Illinois 81-68. Marshfield's Jamie Braun had a career high 27 for Indiana. Bloomington Kennedy's Jenna Smith had 16 for Illinois.

Purdue beat Wisconsin 69-60. Katie Gearlds erupted with 41 for Purdue. Watertown's Mariah Dunham had 16 for Wisconsin. The Capital Times raved about Gearlds. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel looks at the possible NCAA tournament implications of losing.

Northwestern beat Michigan 63-54. Breck's Melissa Miller had 2 for NW. Carney-Nadeau's Carly Benson had 14 to lead Michigan.

Iowa beat Penn State 79-72. Osseo's Krista VandeVenter had 6 for Iowa. The Daily Iowan highlights the efforts of the Sophomore class. The Des Moines Register writes of how Iowa found the fun of playing again.

Evansville aced Drake 57-55. Robyn Jennings hit the game winning lay up with 17 seconds left. St. Croix Lutheran's Lauren Dybing did not score for Drake.

Southern Illinois beat Creighton 67-56. Eastview's Michelle Kaus did not score, and Mpls North's Tyrai Bronson had 6 for Creighton.

Louisiana Lafayette beat Denver 67-55. Bloomington Kennedy's Ashly Robinson did not score for Denver.

Hawaii beat Utah State 79-63. Piedmont Hills CA's Pam Tambini had 20 for Hawaii.

Osseo's Bonnie Johnson received the Newcomer of the year and 1st team all-conference in the Heart of America Athletic Conference. Holly Siverling form Armstrong made the 3rd team.
