Oakland edged Western Illinois 55-52. Grand Rapids Christian's Melissa Jeltema and Pewamo-Westphalia's Nicole Piggot has 12 points each for Oakland.
Oral Roberts defeated UMKC 62-53. Wayzata's Jowan Ortega had 2, and St. Paul Central's Marta Waalen did not score for UMKC.

Wichita State shocked Illinois State 75-69. Mpls North's Daria Frazier had 14 for WSU.
OHIO VALLEY
Austin Peay beat Tennessee State 81-72. Tartan's Jackie Goetzke did not score for APSU.
INDEPENDENT WEEKLY AWARDS
South Dakota State's Megan Vogel and Maria Boever picked up honors from the Indenpendent schools last week. It is Vogel's 3rd player of the week award. Boever won the newcomer of the week.
