On the Basketball Player Development and Human Performance Enhancement blog by Brian McCormick he lists his favorite postings that are unappreciated.

On of the postings is on potential and how people focus on the wrong things. Discipline, focus and competitiveness are big factors in success and get overlooked when looking at bodies and athletic ability.

Also he has an article on Some Secrets of Success. The last line says it all "Success, of course, is more than just a paycheck; it’s passion towards one’s work, a positive outlook towards each and every day and an opportunity to make a difference."

This is required reading.
