1AA West Sub Section Quarterfinals
STEWARTVILLE tigers 56, BYRON bears 43

Thanks for being patient with these postings. The games were in Rochester and didn't finish until after 10:40 pm on Monday.

This first game was a make up game from the storm on Saturday. Stewartville was the #2 seed, Byron #7. Stewartville had and early advantage up to 13-6 and then 18-10, but then Byron began a comeback and a 10-0 run to take the lead 20-18 on a free throw by Ashlee Ahrens. That is when Leigh Splittstoesser took over. She immediately hit a 3, then had a drive for a score and was fouled, She didn't make the free throw, but on the next possession she hit another 3 from the left corner. She hit 8 points in three possessions and helped propel Stewartville to a 26-20 lead at half.

There wasn't a lot of variation in the second half and Stewartville moves on to the sub section semifinal against Rochester Lourdes.
