LE CENTER wildcats 61, MARTIN LUTHER knights 52

LeCenter led early in the 7th place tournament game in the Valley Conference. Martin Luther did have one lead in the game at 10-9 as they went on a 6-1 run. But LeCenter then turned the tables with a 12-0 run to take a commanding 21-11 lead. Martin Luther suffered through an 8 possession drought and 1/17 sequence where their only point came on one free free throw by Erica Reinke. LeCenter repaid them by going on their own 7 possession drought. ML seized advantage with a 7-1 run to finish the half. LeCenter led 22-18 at the break. Reinke had 9 of Martin Luther's points at half time. Ali Dwyer led LeCenter with 10 at half.

Martin Luther did close to 29-28 after a pair of Reinke free throws at the 14:33 mark. LeCenter clicked on 8/11 offensive possessions and led 45-37, a 16-9 run. LeCenter's Sara Miller started it off with 7 straight points. Martin Luther was able to keep LeCenter' in vision with four 3s in the second half, three by Katelyn Arndt. She nailed her second to close it to 45-42. LeCenter then found their rhythm again with 6/7 scoring sequence to go up again 54-48. Arndt fouled out to take away the 3 weapon for Martin Luther. ML did close to 54-50 with under two minutes to go. It still was within four with a minute to go. LeCenter closed out the game with free throws and key rebounds for the final margin of 61-52.
