CDH won a rare Wednesday night non conference game. CDH is now 15-6, NSP is 7-14.
Neither team was very effective at the start of the game as both combined for 8 straight non scoring possessions. CDH's Molly Geske broke the ice with a three. Ann Kliethermes came back and scored on lay up off the CDH press. Neither team got too far away from each other as both teams had 3 ties. NSP last lead came at 12-11 after Danielle Daniels picked up a steal, and was fouled on the lay up. She made one free throw for the momentary lead. Kendra Harris put CDH back in front on a post up and they never trailed. That was a start of a 9-0 run with Alyssa Karel providing five of the points punctuated with a trey from the left wing. CDH led at this point 20-12. NSP had a five possession drought at this time. Then NSP snapped out of it with a 9-4 run with Danielle Daniels contributing four points to make it 24-21 CDH. CDH did have a 5/6 scoring sequence with Sarah Hendricks doing most of the damage in the 10-5 run with six points. CDH led at half 38-28. Danielle Daniels had 13 points at half.
CDH added two points to the margin to go up 42-30. NSP then went on a 11-5 run on a 7/8 scoring sequence. Carolyn Mobley had five points during the run. Karel stopped the NSP momentum with a three from the top of the key, followed by a pair of baskets from Carolyn Dienhart and the lead was back up to 56-45. Danielle Daniels scored on three straight possessions, the last two on picks of the dribbles and transition lay ups, and that again brought the game back to five at 56-51, with about 7 minutes left. CDH then strung 3 possessions together to get the lead back to 61-51. The game didn't really budge off that spread.

made 3s: CDH 4, NSP 2
made fts: NSP 14, CDH 6

CDH had 13 points on second chance points in the first half. For the game they had 21 total, plus 17 on transition. NSP had 14 off transition and 7 on second chance points. So the differential on that was 17 total points for CDH. CDH was bigger inside and more aggressive in attacking the boards. CDH doesn't go to the line that often. NSP made more FTs than CDH took.
Two other notes: 1. This is the fourth time CDH has been under the eye and this was their best pp100 at 97.22, and their floor % was .444 milked more out of their opportunities, NSP on the other hand was only two scores less in floor % (with more possessions). They left points at the line and did not convert as many 3s.
