Anya Covington, a 6-2 junior forward from Edwardsville, Illinois recently made a verbal to Wisconsin. From the Capital Times.

Iowa is looking to break a couple streaks on Thursday against Michigan. They haven't won since Jan. 11; and they haven't won at home since Dec. 3rd. From the Daily Iowan.

Kansas edged Colorado 70-68 in overtime on Shaquina Mosley's lay up. Mounds View's Hannah Skildum did not score for Colorado.
Kelly Kohn, a freshman from Adrian Michigan has a blog up on the Kansas site dealing with the trials and tribulations all freshmen endure. Kohn had 8 for Kansas in the win.

Oakland beat Youngstown State 81-57 in a battle between the MidContinent and the Horizon conferences. It was the 8th straight win for Oakland. Clawson's Jessica Pike had 20 for Oakland.

D2
The D2 polls are out and many area schools are unchanged: North Dakota did drop to #2, with Florida Gulf Coast moving to #1. Grand Valley State is 12, Augustana 13, and South Dakota 16.

Anoka-Ramsey didn't have a season last year, but the 2006-07 team is ranked 6th in the NJCAA III poll. The StarTribune talks of the programs resurrection under coach Dave DeWitt.
