Eastern Indiana bounced Michigan 93-77 in the Sports Fest event in Mishawaka, IN. Alyssa Pittman, Elkhart Memorial led all scorers with 34. She will be headed to Eastern Michigan. Tashayla Jackson, Benton Harbor, led Michigan with 24. Here is more on the game from the Cassopolis Vigilant.

Three new coaches will be patrolling the sidelines this fall in or near Oceana County, MI: Brian Wright at Shelby; Steve Youngstrom at Hart; and Lee Oomen at Walkerville. Here is more on the trio from the Oceana Hearld Journal.

Liz Mundahl has been named new coach at Chisago Lakes. She was the coach at St. Bernard's the last two years and had a record of 8-41.

The South of the River Racers won the varsity division in the Star of the North State Tournament held in Rochester. They now will be headed to Portland, OR for the End of the Trail Nike tournament. They will be in the Red bracket. There are a few more MN teams involved including the Quest (red) and North Tartan (Blue)
Later SotRR will be in the Mid America Adidas tournament in Minnesota.
