The Lenawee County All Star game took place last night in Sand Creek. Kelly Kohn, headed for Kansas, was one of the players in the game. Here is who played and the pregame set up from the Adrian Daily Telegram.

COACHING NEWS
COLLEGE
St. Mary's CA has released coach Michelle Jacoby. She had a 95-79 record for six years. St. Mary's CA was 12-16 last year and lost in the first round of the West Coast Conference. The search will begin for a new coach. Here is more from the Contra Coasta Times.
Randi Peterson, UMAC coach of the year at UM Morris will be the new coach at Coe College. Peterson is from Iowa, played for the Hawkeyes and will be closer to her family. Here is more from the Morris Sun Tribune. Here is the Coe press release.

WI
The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association has decided the entire section will now be seeded. Before this the sections were divided into two regions with powerhouses meeting early in the process. Also decided was the Alliant Energy Center holding the Girls Basketball tournament through 2009. SUMMER LEAGUES
DULUTH
Grand Rapids is undefeated and played Duluth Denfeld in the semis last night. Hibbing faced Duluth East in the other semifinal match up. Who ever won then played.

TOURNAMENTS
GRAND RAPIDS, MN
There is a Summer Showcase tournament going on at the Grand Rapids Middle School this weekend. Most of the teams are school team, but there is an AAU team involved. Teams involved include Aitkin; Barnum; Becker; Cook County, Grand Rapids; Greenway; Hibbing (2 teams) Maranatha, WI; Nashwauk-Keewating; North-Tartan 14; Proctor, Rocori; Walker-H-A. Here are the results from the first Summer Showcase in Rochester held on June 10-11. Hayfield beat Becker Blue in the championship. Rochester Century finished third, and Becker white took the consolation prize.

BECKEL'S FEAT
Tressa Beckel, Waseca, and now headed to UW Green Bay, won the Nike Outdoor National High Jump last week in North Carolina. Here is the UWGB press release trumpeting the results.
