BY THE NUMBERS
Minnesota 78, 78, 100.0, .513
Phoenix 81, 79, 102.5, .468

If you take a look at the floor % numbers you notice MN had a better ratio than Phoenix, yet Phoenix walked off the floor the winner. That is because they had 10 3 point plays--8 behind the arc, 1 free throw sequence of three, and one regular old fashioned three point play. MN managed to get two. Phoenix made 15 free throws on the day, 13 in the 4th quarter. MN made 12, 6 in the fourth quarter.
In every quarter Phoenix finished off the scoring. Taurasi scored on a rebound basket in the first quarter; Snell had a driving lay up to finish the second; Taurasi scored on a second shot in the third, and Pondexter stuck a dagger in the Lynx hearts with her 3 to break the tie. The Lynx had the lead when Phoenix nailed their shots at the end of the 2nd, and 3rd quarters.
Another sore spot was the second chance points. It was fairly close, but Phoenix had 15 to MNs 11 points. Phoenix had four chances to score on their first possession in the fourth quarter.

Thanks for all the help from the readers in getting me stories.
