BY THE NUMBERS
Minnesota 86, 78, 110.3, .538
San Antonio 79, 78, 101.3, .474
A couple of points--1. this was MN's second best defensive performance of the year, but SA still reached above 100 in the pp100 category. It was also the second best floor % game defensively for the Lynx with a .474. 2. The offense had its 3rd best night on both pp100 and floor %.
For the year the Lynx are at 105 on pp100 and .494 for floor %.
Defensively the numbers are fairly close with 105.9 and .503
Augustus leads the way with a 124.4 pp100 average. Even though she had 27 tonight she was off her game a bit with a 108 pp100.
Nicole Ohlde needs to perform every game like this and not be so up & down.
I do find it odd that Jacobs was second in defensive rebounds with six, only one behind Ohlde.
The Lynx offense will be even better when they eliminate some turnovers.
An interesting tidbit: MN closed out the first quarter with an 0/7 drought, yet, when the money was on the table in the fourth quarter, closed out with 8 straight scoring possessions, six of which were free throws.
