Iowa State's head coach Bill Fennelly underwent surgury for the second straight year to remove some cancerous nodules from his vocal chords. Here is a couple of early season tournaments that the Iowa Hawkeyes are scheduled to play this fall--the WBCA tournament in Kansas City beginning Nov 11, and hosting their own on Nov 17. Here is full details in the Iowa City Press Citizen.

Apple Valley has a league. It runs on Mondays with the championship scheduled on July 25. Teams involved are Apple Valley, Stillwater, Owatonna, Lakeville North, Eden Prairie; Rosemount, and Goodhue.

BOOK PROGRESS
As for my publications, I am knee deep in Iowa data entry. My part timer is working through the collegiate data entry. I will have more posted on the availability of these books in the fall when they are published. The rating systems have named the players of the year, in the states I cover, for the last two years. The numbers do add up.
