Teas' Peeves; Basketball & Track II; Tourney Leftovers

BASKETBALL & TRACK
Katie Loberg, Princeton won two jump events in the 7AA track meet on Saturday. She cleared 5-4 in the high jump and had a 35-10 in the triple jump. Loberg then played with the North Tartan 15u team on Sunday as NT finished third.

COACHING OPENINGS
Add three more to the list of High School coaching openings: Stewartville, Triton, Kenyon-Wanamingo.

SUMMER LEAGUES
Concordia St. Paul starts their summer league tonight. Action starts at 6 pm. If you have summer league information send it my way and we will get it up.

AAU STATE TOURNAMENT LEFTOVERS
Gretta Hjelseth of the Northern Lynx (Nevis) was injured on Friday night against North Tartan Crosby and the Northern Lynx were left with an iron five.

Roster changes Total Package: Lauren Barber, Owatonna was in Washington, DC this weekend. Kiara Strickland, AunDreah Aune both Mpls Roosevelt have been rostered from the beginning. They also play on the MYAS Lady Lakers also. Jennifer Dowd, Rogers has been to their roster. Also Tyisha Smith (Mpls South) played with TP this last weekend. It is Smith's third uniform of the spring. She has played MYAS with Lady Cats and Lady Bobcats. The Lady Cats moved from 14 to 13 and that is why she moved to Bobcats. This is her first AAU team this spring.

Program strengths: Metro Stars has had two state titles this spring: 19 and 15. They finished second at the 14s, and 4th at the 16s. North Tartan won the 14s, finished second at the 16s and third at the 15s. The Minnesota Stars had a second at the 15s, third at the 16s. The 43 Hoops had a third at the 14s.

Here is the last installment of the popular Coach Teas' Pet Peeves segment. I will put a link on the right later of all 13. If you notice all these are offensive lists. Coach Teas may have more to say about defense.
#3 Player not using the glass on lay ups, put backs or post ups.
#2 One handed passes....how can you fake with the ball in one hand or bring the ball back when you realize the player is no longer open.

#1 Wing players in poor position to see and feed the low post. You need to see the players numbers when trying to feed the post.
