MN FALL LEAGUE WEEK 4 RECAP
The Fall League is now over and there were five undefeated champions in the nine HS levels. St. Paul Central 1, a split squad won at Armstrong. Bloomington Kennedy took honors in their own gym in the Red; St. Paul Johnson took care of opposition in Blaine; Chaska's youngsters cleaned up at Concordia St. Paul. Minnetonka's second team and Barnum also claimed first place prizes.

In the white there was a two way tie for first with Hopkins and Centennial Red, but in head to head Hopkins won.

FINAL POLL
1. St. Paul Central 1 (Armstrong) 7-0
2. Bloomington Kennedy 7-0
3. Hopkins 6-1
4. Burnsville Black 6-1
5. St. Paul Central 2 4-3 (one loss was a forfeit, one loss OT to Kennedy, one loss 1 pt to Burnwsville)
6. Centennial Red 6-1
7. Minneapolis South 6-1
8. Osseo White 5-2
9. St. Paul Johnson 7-0
10. Chaska Black 7-0 ...Chaska's freshmen had the biggest margins of any team with 24.1 ppg.

It would have been interesting to hold a playoff with the top team in each division playing this weekend in a championship one & done format. That way a true champion would be crowned. These polls are a little like the BCS college football polls.

It was clear to me that the Red was the toughest division of the top three levels. For example Owatonna was 0-7 but their margin was -8.9 while Brooklyn Park (Park Center) in the Blue was -21.7 and Grand Rapids in the White was -22.7

Now MYAS will be holding "Winter Training Camp" which is probably just more games and not much training. Here is the tournament schedules with who will be where.

Becker starts their fall league this weekend. I have not received the schedule for that league, but one of the games this week is Becker vs. Champlin Park in a rematch of the Sweet 16 semifinals won by CP 72-57 or 70-59 (read the story).
The Mastey twins have already verballed Minnesota and Jenny Theissen (MSU Moorhead) and Natalie Gigler (Winona State) are CP players that have verballed.
