Birthday, & Quigley Preseason Player of Year

#1 posting 10.16.2006
your daily dose of girls basketball news & information

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO....
The Blog. It is one year old today. There has been an evolution of blog and I will continue to improve and tweak the site. I will probably have more links so you can see all the out & abouts during the year.
You the readers have been a huge part in the success with tips and information sent in. This is why people turn to this site first for information.

GOPHERS HOOPLA
Yesterday the Minnesota Gophers held their Hoopla event. It was a chance for the public to meet & greet the new look squad.

FRIGHT NIGHT
Michigan State went for the Fright Night theme, but they probably didn't look at the calendar because Oct. 31 isn't for a few more weeks. By the way coach McCallie was a witch.

QUIGLEY PRESEASON PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Erika Quigley has been named preseason player of the year at the D2 level by Women's Division II Basketball Bulletin.

The Port Huron Times-Herald does an inventory of the players in their neighborhood and how they started the college practice season.

STRANGE COINCIDENCES
Champlin Park has two players on their roster with the same name---Jessica Hoffman. But beyond that both were out last year with ACLs.

Thanks to all the readers that make this site the first and last source of girls basketball news. Keep up the good work. Keep me fed.

You haven't ordered your MN yearbook yet? check out the links on the right to order.

Next up: tomorrow morning
