THOMAS WON'T PLAY AT JFK
Patrice Thomas will not play at Bloomington Kennedy this season, and may not play at all this year. She is no longer enrolled there. It is said she is attending MN Transitions. Last season she was at Minneapolis Washburn where she averaged 21.3 ppg. This summer she played with Triple Threat.

No one doubts or questions that Thomas has great ability and talent. It is unfortunate other outside issues prevented her from reaching her potential. She also missed her freshman year at Washburn. She was named to the gbb rercruit All Summer Honorable Mention team this summer.

VERBAL
Annie Adams, center for Crosby-Ironton, MN has made a verbal to South Dakota State for volleball. Adams averaged 11.1 for CI last season.

TRANSFERS
Brittany TerWisscha has left Bethel for Ridgewater CC. The 6-1 TerWisscha played at MACCRAY in HS and averaged 17.1 in 2005.
Abby Smith, DeLaSalle has returned to Minnehaha. She averaged 2.6 last year at D.
MacKenzie Esson has moved from Austin to New Ulm. She averaged 5.2 for Austin last year.

MN COACHES CONVENTION
The coaches are trying to come up with a plan to protect coaches--a coaching tenure plan. Right now coaches are on a one year contract.
The 800 pound gorilla in the room is the open enrollment transfer issue. You can probably count on one hand the amount of kids that transfer because one school has better test tubes than the school down the road. The Coaches Association's plan is to force players to sit out one year when making the open enrollment move.
