Kielpinski, Plucker Verbals

VERBALS GALORE
Jessica Kielpinski, Mandan, ND has made a verbal to New Mexico. You need to go to the last paragraph in the story in the Albuquerque Tribune. The 6-1 Kielpinski has known nothing but championships at Mandan as they have won four straight A championships. She averaged 18 ppg last season. She also played with the Prairie Shooters which is Mandan's summer team. Her sister Rebecca was freshman of the year at Alaska Anchorage this past year. She is the 3rd ND player to make a verbal.
Katelyn Steffan, Dickinson has made a verbal for volleyball to Colorado State. Steffan is 6-4 and averaged 13.9 last year.

Also Abby Plucker, Parker, SD has made a verbal to North Dakota State. She averaged 21.5 ppg last year. She played with South Dakota Elite this past year. She is the 7th SD player from 2007 to make a verbal.

WOJTA OUT?
Julie Wojta, Mishicot was held out of a recent volleyball. Her status for the rest of the year including basketball is to be determined. Wojta made a verbal to UW Green Bay earlier this year. From the Manitowoc Herald Times. Stay tuned.

COACHING NEWS
MN
Tom Pryor has been named the new coach at Murray County Central. He replaces Cory Strasser. MCC was 22-5 last year and lost to State A Champ Fulda in the 3A South finals 50-49.
WI
Ron Reichle has been rehired at Arrowhead on a 5-3 vote. He had made some alledgely inappropriate statements. It is all there again in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

D1 OUTLOOKS
The Iowa Hawkeyes are young and are looking to go further into the NCAAs in March. The Minnesota connection there is starter Krista Vande Venter from Osseo and freshman Zoraa Quoie from Woodbury. Quoie will miss the start of the season due to a knee injury suffered in March. Also coach Lisa Bluder talks to the press in the annual media day. From the Des Moines Register and scout.com.
