Zabel, Patritto, and Farrell Verbals

ZABEL VERBALS
Brianna Zabel, Northfield has made a verbal to Florida Gulf Coast University. The 6-0 F averaged 17.4 ppg last season for the 14-11 1AAA runner up. She played her AAU ball with North Tartan. She is the 5th NT player to verbal. She is the 19th player from MN's 2007 class to verbal. She is the 12th to go D1. FGCU is in the process of going D1 and is joining the Atlantic Sun conference in 2007-08. Shannon Murphy from Brighton MI is also going to FGCU.

Anna Patritto, a 5-11 forward from Howell, and Stacey Farrell a 5-7 point guard from #1B St. Clair have both made verbals to Oakland. Patritto averaged 9.7 last year and is scoring 15 ppg this year. Farrell averaged 11.7 last year on a 22-3 team that lost to eventual B champ Detroit Renaissance. This makes 13 & 14 verbals for Michigan. 13 have verballed D1 schools.

BATTLING CANCER

MICHIGAN RESULTS
Halloween came early for 14-0 Clintondale as Marine City Cardinal Mooney came up just short 52-50.

John Kramer, coach at Calvin Christian, recently picked up career win 200. from the GR Press.

TAYLOR MANLEY
Taylor Manley of Belleville is ripping up the nets, (20.5 ppg) but has not drawn much attention in the recruiting battles according to the Detroit News. Tonight they get a rematch with Inkster and their premier player Lonnie Terrell.

Danielle Jackson, Detroit Southwestern is one of the prep salutes in the Detroit News.

COACHING NEWS
MN
JD Deloney has recently accepted the Minneapolis Henry boys job that was vacated by long time coach Larry McKenzie. That means that the girls position is open since Deloney was the girls coach. Deloney had a 29-53 record in 3 years with the girls.
