The Pursuit of Excellence

your daily dose of girls basketball news & information

THE PURSUIT OF EXCELLENCE
Fortune Magazine is out with their latest edition and the issue is devoted to Excellence.
They have articles on What it takes to be great. It should not surprise anyone to find out it is practice and hard work. They use sports figures liberally throughout their articles like Tiger Woods in the above article and Moneyball author Michael Lewis has an article about iconoclasts breaking the mold.
Fortune also has 12 Peak Performers tell what goes into success. Adam Vinatieri is featured in this. They also have good articles on Key Skills; Cross Training; and Five Levels of Excellence. But I couldn't find links to these articles.
If you are looking to improve and reach the top of the mountain, perhaps you should pick this magazine up. It says "The Excellence Issue" right across the top of the Fortune name.

Also USA Today is running stories on Soul of a Champion on Tuesdays. you can catch up with the series and do interactive things at soulofachampion.usatoday.com. The series is also on Versus cable. USA Today also has educational information on the series.
