Watson Reaches 1000

WATSON'S 1000
Kellie Watson of Ionia scored her 1000th point in a 52-44 win over Lakewood. She is the 4th Ionia player to reach the mark, the last was in 1995. Story from the Grand Rapids Press. The Ionia Sentinel-Standard of course celebrates the event as does the Lansing State Journal.

In the battle of Walled Lake, Western had more over Central 51-38. This game & more in the Detroit Free Press.
Farmington Hills Mercy big upset win 61-44 over Dearborn Divine Child leads the game reports in the Detroit News.

Kalamazoo Central pulled an upset of Kzoo Loy Norrix 57-52.
The Closson sisters propelled Parchment over Otsego 44-42. Both stories Kalamazoo Gazette.

Brighton took out their anger on Pinckney 66-27. Brighton had been the #1 team in the preseaon but started the year 1-3. From the Livingston Daily.

Mason topped Fowlerville 62-46.
Fowler rallied to beat Lainsgburg 63-58.
Leslie had their own comeback, but it took overtime to beat Webberville 45-40.
