VERBAL
Keisha Kanekoa, Honoka'a, a 5-6 point guard has made a verbal to Hawai'i. Kanekoa has been First team all state the last two years. She is the first Hawaii player to verbal so far this year. You can check out all the verbals on the link to the right.

USA TO SEMIS
Team USA beat Lithuania rather easily 90-56 in the World Championships in Brazil. Collegian Candace Parker led the Americans with 18. Ex Lynx Katie Smith had 10 points off the bench, Seimone Augustus, current Lynx player, had 3.

MICHIGAN RESULTS
Claire Conway made two free throws with under a minute to go to help Grosse Pointe South to a 41-39 victory. This game & more in the Detroit Free Press.

LATE TUESDAY
#9 A Flushing knocked off #4 A Grand Blanc in an upset 54-37 at home. A 25-9 fourth quarter did the trick for Flushing in this Big 9 contest.
Fenton beat Swartz Creek 51-44 in a Metro League match up.
A 53 game conference losing streak is now history as Mt. Morris bounced Montrose 46-37. Their last conference win came back on Nov. 12, 2002
