Klomstad, Schell Verbal

VERBALS
Jenilee Klomstad, Pewaukee and Stephanie Schell, New Berlin Eisenhower have both made verbals to UW Milwaukee. Klomstad is a 6-4 center, Schell a 5-10 point guard. More in the Waukesha Freeman. COACHING NEWS
WI
Krista Heath has been hired at Green Bay Southwest. Heath played college ball at UW Green Bay and finished at Michigan Tech. She replaces Ryan Zollner who only coached for one year. More in the GB Press-Gazette.

NEW GYMS
Sheboygan North and South both will have new gyms this winter. This will alleviate crowding and practice in the halls. Both schools will also get new weight rooms. Article from the Sheboygan Press.

PUBLIC VS PRIVATE
In Wisconsin this is the main issue. Wisconsin is also grappling with conference realignment, but nothing generates more passion than the Public/Private issue. The general feeling is that privates will be pushed up a division with a variety of formulas to get the move done. Dennis Semrau has more on the issue from the Capital Times.

AMERICANS ROLL CHINA 119-72
The USA Women had no problems in a 119-72 win over China in pool play in the FIBA World Championships in Brazil. Sue Bird had 20 to lead the USA. Lynx player Seimone Augustus had 10, and former Lynx Katie Smith had 5. The only collegiate player, Tennessee's Candace Parker, had 12
