MN Fall League
White Division
Centennial Red 54, Grand Rapids 22

Centennial Red rolled over Grand Rapids 54-22 picking up steam as the day wore on. GR made it competitive early, but slowly started to fade. GR did hold an 8-6 lead and was down 14-10 in the middle of the first half. Four straight scoring possessions by Centennial but the game out of reach at 26-12. GR was 1/11 during that stretch. That last possession was worth five points as Centennial scored on a drive, was fouled and missed the free throw. They got the rebound and fired in a three. Centennial had five players with more than five at half as they led 34-15.

It didn't get easier for GR in the second half as they only scored one point in their first 14 possessions of the half including the last 10 in a row. Centennial was not feeling that drought, instead feasting by scoring seven times in eight possessions in mid half.

BY THE NUMBERS
Centennial Red 54, 54, 100.0, .444
Grand Rapids 22, 54, 40.7, .222

This was a slightly faster game than the others with 54 possessions. GR had 17 turnovers; the other possessions ended up as missed shots. Centennial has depth and balance. They knocked down five 3s in the game.
No team today crossed the .500 possession level, which isn't that surprising. Hopkins did the best in that department at .458. Everyone basically plays in this environment. Only Osseo had a small bench.

Next up: tomorrow morning with the general news of the day.
