Beloit Memorial is looking for a new coach again. Mark Dax was hired in the summer, but he is also an administrator. A new principal was hired after Dax was hired, and Carlton Jenkins, the new principal has a no administrator coaches rule hence Dax was done. Story from the Beloit Daily News.

FALL LEAGUE
MN
Michigan isn't the only state with fall ball. Minnesota will begin their four Sunday fall schedule starting Sept 18. Here is a list of divisions and teams from the MYAS, but I didn't find when or where these teams will be playing. There are 9 divisions for 11/12th graders with about 8 per division.

MICHIGAN ACTION LAST NIGHT
Madison Heights Bishop Foley had a 23-2 run to help propel them to a 51-40 win over Royal Oak Shrine. This game & others in the Detroit News.

LATE MICHIGAN RESULTS
TUESDAY
Midland Dow smashed Bay City Central 74-44. From the Midland Daily News.
Houghton had too much speed for the Speed Girls from Bessemer 78-42. The top scorer for Houghton only had 11 points. From the Houghton Mining Gazette.
Pewamo-Westphalia raced past Fowler 75-45. Story from the Ionia Sentinel-Standard.
Blissfield's Holly Craig scored the game winner in a 55-53 win over Hudson. From the Adrian Daily Telegram.
Monroe beat Adrian 52-41. This game and more in the Lenawee area in the ADT.
Lakeshore steamrolled Dowagiac 57-27. From the Dowagiac Daily News.
Greenville crunched Central Montcalm 58-22. From the Greenville Daily News.

LAST WEEK
Northville picked up a 52-33 win over Saline. From the Northville Record.

TONS OF PREVIEWS
All these previews came in the Warren C&G papers which are local weeklies in the Detroit Area.
Southfield-Lathrup won the state A tournament last year and graduated the vital pieces. That squad had been together since 2002.
Rochester had a dissapointing finish last year. They aim to improve this season.
Detroit Country Day is one of the big powers in Michigan and they have sent many on to play in college. This is what is in store for one of the Class B favorites.
Coach Pam Mahoney is back at the helm at West Bloomfield.
I have to admit I like the nickname of Mount Clemens---the Battling Bathers. They were pretty good last year finishing 24-1. Here is what to expect this year.
Troy has high expectations this year.
