VERBAL RACE
Here is how the D1 Race is shaping up with the states I have been covering. I am only counting HS seniors at this point.

8 Iowa; 7 Wisconsin; 6 Michigan; 5 Minnesota; 3 South Dakota; 2 Indiana, Nebraska, North Dakota; 1 Hawaii

Now if we look at players going to the six biggest conferences.
2 Iowa, Michigan; 1 Indiana, Minnesota, Wisconsin

DECISIONS, DECISIONS
According to the rumorama this is the thinking of some of Minnesota HS 2007s
Angel Robinson, St. Paul Central---Marquette, Minnesota, Pittsburgh
Tara Steinbauer, Bloomington Kennedy----DePaul, Iowa State, Minnesota, Pepperdine, Wisconsin
Janessa Wolff, Park Rapids----Minnesota, Penn State

THE 30TH EVENTS
There will be dueling showcase events not too far apart this weekend.
The Minnesota Stars will be hosting the Adidas Stars Shootout at Bloomington Jefferson. The games start at 10 am and the last games start at 5:30.
Who is attending? The Stars list 158 players so far with players coming from as far away as Kansas.

In the same school district at Bloomington Kennedy North Tartan will run the North Tartan-All Iowa Attack Showcase. There are 51 players registered so far according to the website.

Blue Star is running a Fall Showcase at the Schaumburg Sport Center. A 99 players are listed so far. There are some Wisconsin & Iowa players headed to this event.

The Battle of the Programs a 20 team tournament will be held at Schaumburg the same day, and an 18 team tournament Elite Oktoberfest will be at Bartlett, IL. Schedule for both events.

The Chicago Fall Showcase is also being held on the 30th, while the adidas Girls Basketball Fall Jamboree is held on October 1st.

The Future Collegiate High Exposure Basketball League is going on at Wisconsin Lutheran in Milwaukee WI.

The Fall Finish in Indianapolis has been cancelled. I hope someone will tell the Hawaiian team.
