NORTH TARTAN/43 HOOPS SHOWCASE EVENT
Saturday
GAME 2
TEAM SIX 43, TEAM ONE 41

A pretty close game for a thrown together environment. Both teams started off pretty hot with six scores in the first nine possessions combined. That wasn't going to last and it didn't. Team One was blanked on seven straight possessions, while Six was 1/7. From the frying pan into the freezer with a pp100 (combined) of 122.2 and then 7.1. As quickly as it froze up, it thawed fast with both teams again combining for 12 points in 8 possessions. There were no life threatening dry spells after that. One led at half time 25-19. Miranda Speckel had seven points at half time for One.

One led 29-21 when Six started their rise. Six went on a 12-0 run to take a 32-29 lead. Leading the charge in the second half comeback was Samantha Quandt and Laura Van Eps who combined for 13 points in the last frame. One wasn't done yet and they pulled ahead 39-37 on a basket by Alyshia Daniels, her only points of the game. Van Es tied it, Quandt scored the go ahead basket and Kendra Harris added insurance. The final was 43-41.
