MORE SCRIMMAGES
Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted is co-hosting a girls basketball scrimmage/jamboree with Maple Lake on Saturday, November 17th. They are looking for two more teams. They currently have 6 teams involved (HLWW, Maple Lake, Delano, Eden Valley-Watkins, Dassel-Cokato, and Watertown-Mayer). Each team will participate in 3-4 full-court scrimmages and that night each team will play in a refereed jamboree game. The jamboree starts at 6:00 PM, with games being 45 minutes apart.

AAU NEWS
The AAU Age Divisions will be moving their birthday cut off from January 1 to a fall/late summer date. That will make it more in line with the grade divisions (class of 2009, 2010 etc.). Final wording has yet to be decided. Players held back a year will need to play with their age level so it will not be strictly based on grade. Stay tuned.

BREAST CANCER FIGHT
Drake & Iowa State will hold cancer awareness nights this year. Drake's will be on Feb. 16 where they will use pink uniforms which will be sold at auction. From the Des Moines Register in an article about Grand View volleyball coach Le Ann Stefani and her fight against breast cancer.
