Undefeated, Blenders, and Olives

UNDEFEATED
Here is the list of undefeated teams remaining in MYAS play
Blue: Hopkins
Red: Centennial White, Rascals
Green: Forest Lake Maroon, Midtown Lady Monarchs
Orange: Suns, Hudson Blue
Yellow: Redhawks
Pink: Barnum Gold, Goodhue
No word from the White division with St. Paul Central and 43 Hoops.

BLENDER
In Iowa, Walled Lake View Auburn and Sac City are combining this year to form East Sac County. The merger and its progress in making two schools into one is recounted in the Sioux City Journal.

OLIVES IN A BOTTLE
There will be another wave of girls basketball verbals in the upcoming week as colleges wait for one player to verbal and then players waiting in line can make decisions. It is like the proverbial olive in the bottle. Once the one olive moves, the rest easily come out of the bottle.

UNDERCLASS DAY
The Gophers Women's Basketball team is having High School Underclass Day at The University of Minnesota on Saturday, October 13th. The Gophers are doing this in conjunction with their annual Hoopla event. Practice starts at 9-11 and then the team will be introduced at noon and events to follow.

DRAKE SETS SIGHTS ON TOURNEY
Drake is hoping to return to the NCAA tournament again this year, and they are hoping to be healthy when they do it. From the Des Moines Register.
