SEASON OPENER
Mayville State opened their season this past weekend, by competing in the Mayville State Classic. Mayville State defeated Brandon University on Friday night 76-52. The Comets were led by Laura BigCrow (Pine Ridge, SD) who scored 28 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, Nikki Munneke (Centennial, MN) scored 11 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.

On Saturday night the Comets defeated the University of Winnipeg 75-57. The Comets were led in scoring by Cassie Leraas (Northern Cass, ND) who scored 20 points and Laura BigCrow who scored 17 points.

There are five Minnesota players on the Mayville State roster. North Dakota also has five.

BIG 10 PREVIEWS
