Voigt All State Soccer; North of the Border

ALL STATE SOCCER
Jackie Voigt of Park-Cottage Grove made the all state soccer team as a goalie. Voigt is headed to the Minnesota Gophers to play basketball.
Other girls basketball players that made the honorable mention list include Nicole Dooher of Armstrong; Sam Mehr, of Eastview; Natalie Pastor, of Edina in AA.

On the Class A side basketball players Briana Scanlan of East Grand Forks; Sarah Schellinger of Sartell-St. Stephen; Analey Skog of Meadow Creek Christian; Elizabeth Traxler of Holy Family; and Jessica Vork of Cloquet were named to the first team.
On the A honorable mention list are Cassie Dorschner of Kasson-Mantorville; Sami Meyman of Simley; and Courtney Tideman of Sartell-St. Stephen

AAU
The Metro Stars White (16U) team is looking for an athletic 3 player with varsity experience. 5-10 to 6-0 tall, can handle the ball, and score in traffic and mid-range. Please contact head coach Carl Scales at crlscales@hotmail.com if you would like to be considered for this spot.

Ben Smith has been hired at Marquette high school in Michigan. From the Escanaba Daily Press.

NORTH OF THE BORDER
Olivia Lukasewich of St. Jean de Brebeuf has been named athlete of the week in the Toronto Star. Also the TS has their top 10 teams for the week led by Eastern Commerce.
