SIGNINGS
Nikki Schultz, Cedar Mountain Comfrey, has signed a letter of intent to particiapte in Track at the University of Minnesota. She will particpate in the heptathlon.
Nicole Swenson, Dawson-Boyd is also part of that recruiting class and will run distance.
Both are basketball players for their schools. Schultz is on the current #1 A team in Minnesota and averaged 10.4 ppg. CMC finished second in the sweet 16 this summer and turned a few heads.
Swenson averaged 13.3 ppg for DB, a team that had an 18-7 record last year.

It took overtime for Penn State to subdue Xavier 73-66
Wisconsin doused Illinois Chicago 75-53. Also reports from the Wisconsin State Journal. The Capital Times found a few things to rip on--like defensive lapses. Jessie Miller, Holy Angels had 7 as a starter for UIC. Eastview's Cassie Johnson had one off the bench. Concordia Roseville's Sarah Ingison had one off the bench for Wisconsin.
Former Wisconsin and Hudson HS player Annie Nelson became engaged on Wednesday night to Joe Thomas, the winner of the Outland Trophy. Thomas is a lineman for the Badgers.

Army beat Columbia 68-43. St. Louis Park's Megan Ennega had one point off the bench for Army.

Loyola Marymount topped Hawaii 79-69 thanks to a 53 point second half.
