UW Green Bay did make it 3-0 vs the Big 10, but held their breath, with a 70-66 squeaker over big sister Wisconsin 70-66. UWGB led by 23 in the second half before the alarm clocks rang for the Badgers. UWGB played "not to lose," late before a record crowd. Stories abound from the Wisconsin State Journal, Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, and Green Bay Press Gazette all with different spin.
DePaul beat Northwestern 74-66. Breck's Melissa Miller had 4 points as a starter for NW. Freshman China Threatt of Auburn Hills Avondale MI had 17 for DePaul.
Massachusetts beat Eastern Michigan 83-80
Chicago State picked up a win at UW Milwaukee expense 54-45. Faith Buchanan, former Mpls North player had one point off the bench for Chicago State.
The Des Moines Register looks at Drake's upcoming games against two Pac 10 teams: Oregon and Oregon State. It also looks at where the Missouri Valley conference is in relation to other conferences.

North Dakota knocked around UM Crookston 89-51
St. Cloud State beat UW Eau Claire 77-71. SCSU coach Dr. Lori Ulferts picked up win #200 as the Huskies coach.

Macalester picked up a big win over UW River Falls 52-46
UW Superior beat Northwestern MN 61-47
Olivet beat Kalamazoo 89-54 in what was described as a tough loss by the Kalamazoo Gazette.

It was a long time coming, but as we reported last summer it has come to pass Don Zierden will coach the Lynx. from WCCO TV. I didn't see any video link however.
