North Dakota State topped neighbor Minnesota 62-48. The Gophers were "outed" in the game times three. The Fargo Forum has more information including photos, plus there is video from WDAY including post game comments. The video is a little herky jerky for live action, but stable for head shots after the game. You will need click on Holiday Haymaker camera on the Fargo Forum page. This game will reverbrate on the Northern Plains for quite some time.

Michigan State had a heart stopper with an overtime win against three win Cal State Northridge 73-69. Mpls North's Mia Johnson had 19 to lead the Spartans.

Iowa popped Drake 77-70. Osseo's Krista VandeVenter had 23 points, a career high, for Iowa. Lauren Dybing from St. Croix Lutheran had 3 for Drake. Newspaper clippings provided the Hawkeyes with motivation, and had "hit rock bottom" according to coach Lisa Bluder in Nancy Clark's column in the Des Moines Register.
