Coon Rapids, on the strength of a 11-0 run in the first half, beat Duluth East in the first semifinal game at Hill-Murray 50-46. CR led 44-30 before the 3 parade started to rain down from DE. DE hit for 6 in the second half. DE made the six 3s in their last 8 scoring possessions (20 overall possessions), the last coming at the buzzer to make the score appear closer than it really was.
