Northern Iowa stunned Iowa 83-62 in Iowa City. UNI hit for 14 3s on the night. It was the first time in 31 years UNI has a win over the Hawkeyes. Also from the Des Moines Register. Osseo's Krista VandeVenter had 10 off the bench. Zoraa Quoie from Woodbury had 4 also for Iowa. Jackie Norton of White Bear Lake did not score for UNI.

New Mexico won the in state battle with New Mexico State 65-45. Roseville's Amy Beggin had five off the bench for New Mexico.

Akron beat St. Francis PA 71-54. Jordan's Mandy Holzer had four, and Allison Schoff of Kennedy was scoreless for Akron.

Nebraska survived Creighton 60-57. Cannon Falls' Cory Montgomery had five off the bench for Nebraska. Eastview's Michelle Kaus had five as a starter for Creighton, while Tyrai Bronson of Mpls North had 8 off the bench.

Notre Dame edged Valparaiso 60-59. Prior Lake's Tamra Braun was limited to 2 points as a starter for Valpo.

Southern Methodist ran over Detroit 73-50 in the Cancun Tournament. Benilde-St. Margaret's Chanica Hall did not score for Detroit.

It was the Temple of doom for Western Michigan as Temple won 78-35
