THE WEEK THAT WAS #5, Tournament Stocking Stuffer
five games, five days

In an abbreviated week we have five games, three of which came down to the wire. Games are starting to tighten up.
Trends: average is 73.26 pp100 and .358 floor % after 37 games.

I have seen DeLaSalle and Lakeville North twice, both improved in their offensive production slightly from the first time I saw them.
LN is at 78.47 pp100 and .382 floor %.
DLS is 71.85 pp100 and .333 floor %.
Defensively they are allowing more, now is that because offenses are getting a bit better? or have they regressed on defense? I think offensive timing needs some time to develop. Both teams work hard and try to prevent the easy shots.
LN defensively: 69.23 pp100 and .343 floor %
DLS 69.85 pp100 and .346 floor %.
Both better than average in both categories on defense. DLS is below the average in floor % on offense.

TEAM OF THE WEEK
For making the gold standard, and thoroughly dominating Ironale it is going to be Wayzata. No other team came close to both factors. They scored early at will on Irondale and had the clamps down on defense. Section 5AAAA will be a battle between Wayzata and Osseo when it comes to March.
The game that provided the most pp100 was Jordan/NYA on Tuesday: 95.7/92.8. But Lakeville South/DeLaSalle and Lakeville North/Owatonna were also entertaing, if not close to the gold standard.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
For a strong performance on Friday night Cassie Rochel of Lakeville North. She was 150.0 pp100 and .800 floor %. She also had 9 defensive wraps to lead her team and Owatonna in that category. With her long frame and youth her stock will be rising and rising.
To make the list I had to see the player during the past week, and that player had to make it past the gold standard (100 pp100, and .500 floor %). This marked the first time I had a player sub gold standard. That is probably because I only had five games to choose from.

FIRST TEAM
Leah Dietel, Jordan
Rachel Hanson, Norwood-Young America
Elle Queen, Minnetonka
Cassie Rochel, Lakeville North
Kate Thompson, Wayzata
SECOND TEAM
Alyssa Benson, Minnetonka
Anne Borgertoepping, Owatonna
Brittany Chambers, Jordan
Amanda Dietel, Jordan
Rachel Pexa, Norwood-Young America

DEFENSIVE TEAM
This probably should be renamed to "getting possession team" it measures the players that are aggressive in getting the ball. Perhaps they did allow 20 points. I can't measure that...yet. But these players do change the way the game is played, and for lack of a better term they are the Defenders of the Week:
Elle Queen, Minnetonka, Captain
Brittany Chambers, Jordan
Katie McKernon, Owatonna
Cassie Rochel, Lakeville North
Kate Thompson, Wayzata
