LNI OPENS
The first day is in the books for the Lakota Nation Invitational in Rapid City. Cheyenne-Eagle Butte had a snappy 90-21 over Heart of the Earth or Oh Day Aki of MN. Defending champ Custer also won their opener. The tournament runs through Saturday. From the Rapid City Journal.
NORTHERN STATE WOLVES CLASSIC
Four games, including Jill Young's Mitchell Christian team, will be playing games at Northern State on Saturday. MC plays Webster at 2 pm. The first game begins at 11 am. Schedule and Young's progress up the point chart are in the Aberdeen American News.

Breanna Binger, Hitchcock-Tulare, was named athlete of the week in the Aberdeen American News.
