Christenson Resigns at Nicollet

SIGNING
Yesterday in the college report I posted that Nikki Schultz of #1 A Cedar Mt-Comfrey has signed to do track, the Heptathalon, at Minnesota. Here is the New Ulm Journal with their story on the signing.

RESIGNING
Nicollet coach Kevin Christenson resigned on Dec. 5. Nicollet started the year in the top 10 in A and lost twice to MVL and New Ulm Cathedral to open the year. Christenson was coach for 13 years and had a 218-113 career record. Last year Nicollet won the Valley conference and finished 21-5. From the New Ulm Journal.

#3 Hopkins beat St. Michael-Albertville 63-44. Four Royals hit double digits led by senior Jackie Hiebert.

Katie Loberg ripped it up for 35 points in Princeton's 76-62 win over Zimmerman. From the Elk River Star News.

Jenny Gilbertson, Winona Cotter became the 6th player, and the first 2008 player this year to pass the 1000 point mark as WC beat Byron 87-43. Gilbertson had 19 on the night.

St. Charles beat Lewiston-Altura 40-36 plus other area action
