Wade List, Bluder's Expectations

The 25 player preseason Wade Trophy list has been released. Three players from the coverage area make the list:
Allysa DeHaan, Michigan State
Krystal Ellis, Marquette
Jantel Lavender, Ohio State.

Iowa women's basketball coach Lisa Bluder has high expectations for the incoming freshman. Kamille Wahlin will be a back up guard, while Hannah Draxten will battle for playing time at small forward. From the Cedar Rapids Gazette.

Rachel Folcik of Carney-Nadeau, Michigan has signed a professional contract with Clube Desportivo da Povoa in Portugal. The 6-1 center played her college ball at Ferris State. Folcik will room with Tina Thompson. From the Escanaba Daily Press.

Former Iowa State player Lindsey Wilson has signed a professional contract with Teo Vilnius in Lithuania.

St. Thomas is in Brazil and is 1-0 so far. Coach Ruth Sinn and the team are blogging about the trip.

The Americans bumped off Korea 104-60. Seimone Augustus had 7 points, and Katie Smith had two points.
