Laskowski Verbals, Mailey Transfers, Boike Hired

VERBALS
Karisa Laskowski of Pulaski has verballed UW Parkside. The 5-9 guard started for the 14-8 Red Raiders last year and played with the Legends Program out of Green Bay.

Pulaski is the 12th player from the 2009 Wisconsin class to verbal and the 4th to verbal a D2 program.

COACHING NEWS
Laurie LaCross has been hired as the new girls basketball coach at Sutton's Bay, MI. From the Leelanau Enterprise.

Crookston has a new girls basketball coach Lon Boike. Previous coach Kris Evje resigned for a position at Waseca. From KROX.

TRANSFER
Ashley Mailey has transferred to Dakota Wesleyan from Dakota State. The 6-0 forward played her high school ball at Dell Rapids. From the Mitchell Daily Republic.

SCHEDULES
New Mexico has released their 2008-09 schedule.

OLYMPICS
The American women haven't really been challenged yet in Beijing. The USA knocked off Spain 93-55. Lynxster Seimone Augustus had 7, and former Lynxster Katie Smith had 2. From the St. Paul Pioneer Press.
